Awesome Trip
Two senior ladies from Australia, we have just completed an awesome holiday with Trips to Morocco over 14 nights. Everything went according to plan from pick up at Casablanca airport to drop off. We were driven around in a new and comfortable Land Cruiser by Youssef, who we affectionately called ‘Uncle’ and his nephew Hassan whose English and sense of humour was wonderful. We drove from Casablanca to Chefchaouen then via Voloublis and Meknès to Fes. Then to Merzouga staying 2 nights at their luxury camp, Dunes, before heading to Dades and Ouarzazate, staying 3 nights in Marrakech and the last night in Essaouira before returning home. Every day brought something new and exciting – camel rides, Atlas Studio, off road driving in the desert, having tea with Berber lady in her cave, cooking lesson with Uncles wife, being dressed up as Berber ladies, enjoying a Hammam or two, eating in Marrakech markets, seeing the goats eating Argan nuts up a tree, joining in the fun of watching Fantasia horsemen and of course devouring all the wonderful food on offer. Trips to Morocco delivered all that was promised and more. Their care and concern for our enjoyment went beyond the call of duty! A big thank you to Uncle, Hassan and Mohammed for giving us a trip of a life time. If you’re thinking of a trip to Morocco, ask Trips to Morocco – Mohammed – to put something together for you.

Fantastic 4 day trip from Errachaidia to Marrakech
Ayoub, our guide, and Youssef, our driver, were fantastic from day 1. Our suitcase had not arrived in Errachaidia and they made sure it would be waiting for us in Marrakech when we arrived there. On the drive to Merzouga we went to the local market in Rissani, drove to see many ksars and kasbahs, climbed mountains to see incredible views and then drove off road through the desert. One of the many highlights of our trip was the next morning when we rode camels an hour before sunrise to the dunes. Experiencing the different shades of darkness until the sun slowly began to rise over the desert was magical. Near Dades Gorge we were stuck between two flooded rivers but the intrepid Youssef got us to our hotel (the brilliant Auberge Chez Pierre) safe and dry. We wanted a trip with a difference and Ayoub made sure we got that; from crossing rivers on foot to reach out of the way kasbahs, to helping us explore beautiful mountain towns and seemingly abandoned kasbahs which hid palatial halls and rooms within. Ayoub and Youssef were great sports, fun, adventurous and tried their utmost to meet our every request. And yes, our suitcase was waiting for us at Marrakech Airport…
